Services and Fees

A therapy hour at Mandurah Psychology consists of a 50 minute session plus 10 minutes note taking time.

​

Please note that we offer a reduced price from the Australian Psychological Society (APS) 2024-25 recommended fee for Psychologists of $311 for a 46-60 minute session.

​

Our session rates start at $210 and if claiming a medicare rebate ($96.65) through your mental health treatment plan, the out of pocket expense to you will be $113.35 per session.​

Individual Sessions

Explore new coping strategies tailored to your needs in personalised sessions with your psychologist. Gain support and guidance necessary to navigate complex challenges and improve your mental health and well-being.

Couples Therapy

Engage with your psychologist to enhance communication and gain support for emotional challenges. Through professional guidance we will seek to strengthen relationships and navigate difficulties more effectively. 

NDIS
Sessions

We provide compassionate and tailored to support to NDIS clients, helping them develop essential skills and improve their well-being. We assist clients to achieve their goals and enhance their quality of life.

Workplace and Incident Support

We offer practical, effective and confidential support for clients referred through EAP or insurance claims. Your psychologist will help to navigate present challenges, reduce stress, and improve overall well-being.

($113.35 after rebate)

We require at least 48 hours’ notice for cancellations of sessions, otherwise a late cancellation/ non-attendance fee will apply. This fee is 50% of your scheduled fee.

Discretion will be taken whether to waive this fee during times of genuine illness or emergency where as much notice has been given as possible.

We appreciate your understanding that we need to charge these fees to support us in running our business.

Medicare Rebates

Individuals can visit a GP to obtain a Mental Health Treatment Plan referral, which provides access to up to 10 Medicare-rebated psychology sessions per calendar year. Initially, up to 6 sessions can be covered, with a re-referral required for additional sessions.

Currently, the Medicare rebate for a 50+ minute session with a registered psychologist is $96.65.

Private Funding

Individuals have the option to pay for psychological services privately.

 

Those with private health insurance are encouraged to check their coverage for psychology services as coverage and rebate amounts vary between private health insurance providers.

NDIS

Individuals with self-managed or plan-managed NDIS funding for Capacity Building (allocated for psychology or flexible support) can receive psychological assistance to enhance skills and improve in areas of life connected to their listed disability and the goals outlined in their current plan.

Third Party Funding

We see people referred to us from their GP for psychological treatment under work cover and are able to accept referrals through workplace Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). We also see clients referred from insurance companies following motor vehicle accidents, workplace incidents, or other traumatic events.

We are in the process of setting up price packages for psychological assessments and hope to offer various assessments including ADHD and ASD assessments in the near future.
